At their SPIE Photonics West 2017 booth, e2v will showcase line scan cameras with a frame grabber-less NBASE-T interface, as well a new line of CMOS image sensors. Cameras from e2v’s UNiiQA+ and ELiiXA+ color line scan families will be available with an NBASE-T Ethernet interface that enables users to transmit uncompressed, high-bandwidth images from the cameras into their systems at high speed. The cameras reach speeds of up to 5 Gbps over Cat5 cable and 10 Gbps over Cat6 at 100 meters+ distances.

Additionally, e2v will showcase its new Emerald family of CMOS image sensors, which features a sensor that the company says is the world’s smallest true global shutter pixel (2.8 µm). The sensors are available in 16 MPixel (the first to be released), 12 MPixel, and 8 MPixel, and feature a 1" optical format that can be interface with a compact C-Mount lens.
