Ruggedized and standard machine vision lenses from Computar on display at The Vision Show
On display at the Computar booth at The Vision Show 2018 in Boston will be the company’s MPW2-R series of ruggedized lenses, as well as the MPY Series of C-Mount lenses (pictured). The MPW2-R series are designed specifically for harsh environments in machine vision applications. C-Mount lenses are 5 MPixel, 2/3” lenses that are developed to minimize image aberrations caused by vibration and shock. Featuring redundant focus locks, the lenses are adjustable with a double-nut mechanism and are available in 8mm, 12mm, 16mm, 25mm, 35mm, and 50mm formats.
MPY Series C-Mount lenses support a 1.1” sensor format at 12 MPixel resolution. The fixed focal length lenses support pixel sizes down to 3.45 µm and are available in focal lengths of 8, 12, 16, 25, 35, and 50 mm. Targeting machine vision and intelligent transportation system multi-lane surveillance applications, the lenses also feature an image circle of ɸ17, a compact design, and are the smallest 1.1” format lens design for >10 MPixel lens in the industry, according to the company.
