At SPIE Photonics West 2018, Pleora will showcase its portfolio of videointerfaces, including the new GigE Vision over NBASE-T embeddedvideo interface platform, the iPORT NTx-NBT25. The video interface transmits uncompressed GigE Vision-compliant images at speeds up to 2.5 Gbps over extended-reach, inexpensive Cat 5e cabling. Integrated support for the IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol (PTP) to synchronize image capture and imaging system elements, while an onboard programmable logic controller (PLC) lets users control external machines, make functional changes, adjust timing, or add features without requiring new hardware, according to Pleora.
