Vision system inspects bottle caps at high speed

Many manufacturers of plastic bottles—such as those used for detergent, bleach, or food—require caps that will ensure that, once filed, no spillage will occur. For this to happen, these manufacturers must ensure that liners within the caps are properly placed. To do so, machine vision integrator Logical Systems developed a system that uses custom LED lighting, off-the-shelf cameras, and imaging software combined with a conveyance mechanism that inspects the bottle caps at 1200 parts/min.>>>Read more.
