USB 3.0 host controller from Active Silicon to be showcased at The Vision Show 2016

The FireBird Quad USB 3.0 host controller from Active Silicon, which will be on display at The Vision Show 2016 in Boston from May 3-5, supports four USB 3.0 ports arranged as two ports per host controller, with each controller having its own PCI Express x1 Gen 2 interface to give a combined total data throughput of 10 Gbps. 

The FireBird Quad USB 3.0 host controller from Active Silicon, which will be on display at The Vision Show 2016 in Boston from May 3-5, supports four USB 3.0 ports arranged as two ports per host controller, with each controller having its own PCI Express x1 Gen 2 interface to give a combined total data throughput of 10 Gbps. The USB 3.0 host controller is based on the Renesas USB 3.0 host controller and feature support for USB3 Vision cameras and compliance with the GenICam vision standard. Additionally, the controller features Windows and Linux support.
